EQUIPMENT & TECHNICAL CAPABILITY
Professional TSCM requires more than detection equipment alone. Shield TSCM combines specialist technical surveillance detection technology with systematic physical inspection and experienced analysis to identify anomalies that require further investigation.
Our equipment capability includes multiple complementary detection methods, allowing an environment to be assessed across different potential surveillance threats.
COMPLEMENTARY DETECTION METHODS
RF Spectrum Analysis
Professional spectrum analysis equipment examines the radio-frequency environment across a wide frequency range, enabling examiners to identify and investigate RF activity that may indicate unauthorised transmitting devices.
Non-Linear Junction Detection — NLJD
Professional Non-Linear Junction Detectors locate electronic semiconductor components, including electronics not currently transmitting. This adds important capability when assessing furniture, fixtures, walls and other potential concealment locations.
Near-Field RF Detection
Specialist near-field equipment enables examiners to investigate and localise radio-frequency emissions at close range, supporting the identification and physical location of suspicious or unexplained transmissions.
Signal Analysis
Signals identified during a survey can be examined to determine their characteristics, behaviour and potential source, allowing legitimate RF activity to be distinguished from signals requiring further investigation.
Physical & Technical Search
Technology is combined with a systematic physical examination of relevant furniture, fixtures, electrical infrastructure, communications equipment and potential concealment areas for signs of unauthorised modification or surveillance technology.
Tracking Device Detection
Specialist technical and physical inspection methods can be applied to vehicles and other mobile assets to identify potential unauthorised tracking or surveillance devices.
A MULTI-LAYERED APPROACH
Each method provides a different layer of detection capability. Together, they allow our examiners to build a more comprehensive understanding of the technical environment and investigate anomalies systematically.

TECHNOLOGY IS ONLY PART OF THE PROCESS
Professional TSCM is not simply a matter of switching on a detector. The effectiveness of a technical surveillance survey depends upon the methodology, interpretation and experience of the examiner using the equipment.
Shield TSCM combines professional detection technology with a disciplined technical inspection process to provide clients with a thorough and discreet assessment of their environment.
